Italy makes arrests after hundreds drown in shipwrecks

Hundreds of survivors of shipwrecks are being processed and looked after by Italian coast guard, forensic workers and medical crew.
Aid workers say most of the refugees are from Eritrea – a country so isolated it’s been nicknamed Africa’s North Korea.
Italian police say they have arrested a Sudanese man identified by the refugees as being the commander of the boat.
