Burundi voters searched amid violence

Voting is under way in a controversial presidential election in Burundi amid widespread tension over President Pierre Nkurunziza’s decision to stand for a third consecutive term.
Gunfire and explosions are continuing to be heard in the capital, Bujumbura, while several opposition leaders are boycotting the vote.
