Vice President Yemi Osinbajo made the pledge in the North-Eastern state of Gombe, while on a sympathy visit. The visit was on the back drop of a Thursday’s bomb blast at Gombe central market, where many people lost their lives.
The Vice President who touched down at the Gombe International airport at 15 hrs GMT o Friday, said he was in the state on the directives of President Mohammadu Buhari, to commiserate with the government and people of the state, over the sad twin bomb blasts that happened Thursday evening in Gombe.
On arrival, he immediately proceeded to the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe, where he sympathized with survivours of the incident currently receiving medical attention at the hospital.
“His Excellency, President Buhari asked me to come to commiserate and say sorry to the Governor and good people of Gombe state,especially the families affected by this very terrible bomb explosion and I pray that you will be comforted.
I hope we will not see this kind of thing again,” Osinbajo wished.
