Algiers — Algeria and Ethiopia want to strengthen their economic cooperation notably in the agricultural, energy and university fields, said Sunday in Algiers Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn Boshe.
“Political relations between Ethiopia and Algeria are excellent. Unfortunately, the economic relations did not reach the same level and that is why we want to reinforce them,” said Ethiopian Prime Minister at the end of a meeting with President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
“Concerning the economic relations, we encourage the Algerian companies to invest in the field of agriculture,” he underlined.
He also said that he broached with the head of State the field of air transport, adding that the two countries “agreed to encourage the opening of a direct line between Algiers and Addis Abebda.”
