Dedebit beat Weldiya Kenema 6-1, St. George held scoreless in Adama

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Dedebit FC beat newly promoted Weldiya Kenema 6-1; Wolaita Dicha lost 1-0 to Dashen Beer 1-0 at home; Hawassa Kenema and Arba Minch drew 1-1; host Sidama Coffee squeezed by Mugher Cement 1-0 and St. George and Mekelakeya (Defense Force) were held scoreless by EEPCO and Adama Kenema respectively as the 2014/15 Ethiopian Premier League resumed on Sunday.

It was Weldiya Kenema which scored first thanks to a goal by Abiye Beyene just ten minutes into the game. Abiye’s removal of his jersey to celebrate his goal landed him a yellow card and this proved costly for the team as the same player was ejected later on in the game after the

referee handed him a second yellow for diving in the penalty box.
